i just got back from a really long swim, and now my hair is a utter mess! i usually have a routine to treat such matters; (lots of moisture and all that good stuff), but i was wondering..is there a way to keep you hair from getting this brittle, even when you are in the pool for long periods of time? i hate doing this ritual or moisture every time, and i was just thinking that there might be a way to prevent this....help please? 10 points 4 best answer!

  1. when you swim you could use a swimming cap so your hair does not get brittle.

  2. Sorry girl but the only answer is an extremely unflattering swimming cap! But hey look on the bright side you could always customise it by decorating it with various bit's and bobs....a shark fin would be good...watch ya fellow swimmers scatter!!! lol Other than that smother on the conditioner, you can also buy hot oil treatments for dry brittle hair too and theres also leave-in conditioners. Purhaps avoid hair driers and straightners too...hard I know, where would us girls be without them???. .. I'd be running round with a bush nut thats for sure!!

  3. UltraSwim shampoo [and conditioner, if you like].  It's hard to find, usually just a few bottles on the bottom shelf.  But I've found it at WalMart and at drug stores.

  4. You could use a swimmers cap, or use Nexxus shampoo with tea treee oil.use a hot oil treatment, which is good for your hair.the nexxus shampoo is humorous, revlon carries a shampoo called ultra swim its really good for your hair too.

  5. I'm not sure if it is still around, but we used to use a brand of shampoo and conditioner called ultra swim.
