  1. I just put the suitcase on the scale.

And make sure you leave some extra room for bringing things back with you.

  2. as someone with experience....don't make your suitcase equal to the limit... you won't have room for anything extra you may need and if your home scale is different from the scale at the airport then you will be stuck with those charges

    pack a few pounds under.

weigh yourself, and then weigh yourself holding the suitcase as evenly...like squarely in front of you as possible

  3. Weigh yourself without the bag, then weigh yourself with the bag.  Subtract the difference.  However, keep in mind, just like scales at the doctors office, airport scales are often calibrate different.  If it's close to the limit (i.e. Limit is 50 and it weighs 48) take a few things out because the airlines don't have to allow you to shift things at the airport!

Also, make sure to review your baggage allowances before you go.  They can change if you have a stopover (ex: an  overnight in Amsterdam before continuing to Pakistan).

  4. weigh yourself then pick up the luggage and weigh yourself with the luggage. also check your heaviest bag first that way if it is over the limit you can take something out and put it in another bag

  5. 1st - weigh yourself on a scale -

2nd  weigh yourself and holding your suitcase

subtract your weight from the total
