im not real sure about england, but cast uppcurent or tide, and bring downward.

there is an old saying for the west coast "the wind from the east is fit for man, fish, nor beast" so ishould imagine the opposite is true for you on the on the other side of the country  a east wind would suit you best as the wind will drive foods to the shore .
