  1. Definately Albufeira - I've been 7 times and can highly recommend it. Loads of bars and restaurants and superb beaches - best of all no lager louts - you'll love it!

  2. 1 - Quinta do Lago:

Very very good and very very expensive.

2 - Vale de Lobo: the Real Madrid team is presently there, training, but also with the players families:

    Also very expensive and good.

    3 - Vilamoura:

you can find here, from the reasonable cheap to most expensive.

4 - Albufeira: medium cheap and fair expensive. But loaded with tourists. a kind of little britain.... (nothing against britts...)

5 - Quarteira: low medium class resort. kinda bad and bad quality. loaded with portuguese... lol

6 - Armação de Pera: loaded with portuguese youngsters, and students. (totally rubbish. the bottom of portugal's tourism destinies.... unless you like guys like Cristiano Ronaldo, you'll find a lot there! lol)

    PS - choose Vilamoura...

  3. You haven't said how old you are or what you would like from a holiday.  Alberfeira is noisy with a lot of bars, a bit like a small Benidorm.  Vilamoura is a bit posher, a more upmarket crowd.  We like Olhos d'Agua, lovely beaches and a more village feel with plenty of restaurants and bars.  This is just central Portugal there are a lot of other resorts to the east and west of these places.

  4. I can't honestly say i have ever heard of any actually ''bad'' resorts in The Algarve!!

I think my favourites would have to be Vilamoura....great marina with shops, bars and restaurants, and Albufiera whixch is a bit livlier....just depends on what you're lloking for!

  5. Praia da Rocha, near Portimão has a fantastic beach, marina and quiet and more lively parts. Very relaxing and good value. You are close to Portimão with lots to see and do!

    Worth checking out!
