Question:

Best year to be born, in terms of understanding of computers?

I was born in the late 70s, so I was a kid when people first started getting home computers and video game systems. I think since I've watched these technologies mature from the beginning of the in-home-use era, I have a good understanding of them.

But I am curious to know others' thoughts on whether someone born in, say, the 50s or 90s would have more of an advantage in this area?

For the record I am referring both to easy of everyday use of computers as well as computer programming.

  1. age doesn;t matter, do some research if you really want to know.

  2. Id say the later the better.  I was born in 81 and im knowledgeable but kids now are born in this environment

  3. I was born in 1995, and my friends and family consider me a computer genius. I am a teenager and understand all aspects of computers easily, and I am glad that i was born in such a technology advanced age. I also have the ability, unlike people born in the 70's, to have more time to learn about what is to come, and what is already. Also, since computers still have a lot of advancing to go, there isnt too much to cram into my head at the moment being, as opposed to how complicated computers will become in the future.

In conclusion, I think it is better to be born now - the next 5 years.

    I hope this helps alot,

    Zayne
