Out of all the memorable matches he had for the national team, Sychev could not forget the meeting with the Belgians at the 2002 World Cup. Sychev cemented his position in the team after playing in two European Championships, having
won a bronze medal at Euro 2008.
Igor Akinfeev

CSKA Moscow shot-stopper remained as a first choice goalkeeper despite seeing a host of managers come and go during his playing career. He showed stability in the early stages of career to guarantee him a long and productive performance
in the team, and the excitement, which seems to be always with him, resulted in cementing his place.
He could be regarded as the Russian http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815 as he took a position between the post at a very young age. Confidence was the key behind Akinfeev’s successful playing career which distinguished him from others even in his youth.
Akinfeev’s wait for his first medal did not last long as he managed to help his team in getting their bronze medal after finishing 3rd at Euro 2008. However, the 26-year-old failed to represent his country at the European
championship in 2012 after sustaining a shoulder Injury.
