My favorite zombie film is the original "Night of the Living Dead." If it wasn't for this film, I don't know if the zombie genre would exist.

Night of the living dead is classic and the first of the zombie genre that wasn't totally cheesy.

I consider Day of the Dead to be Romero's best work. Dawn of the Dead could've been great, but the upbeat ending ruined it for me.

I also liked Shaun of the Dead and the 28 Days Later films (not exactly "zombie" films but a more realistic take on the genre).
