I have a bestfriend for like 8 years. And now shes been hanging out with a group of guys that i know are bad influence on her. I know that she want to enjoy her last year on Highschool thats why shes been hanging out with them. I'm not actually jealous I'm just really worried for her because she might do something that those people do like, loosing of respect to their parents, going out very late at night, Drinking, smoking, and some other stuff. I don't want her to get involve in those kinda things. But shes really hard to control. Now She wants me to be with them to, she seems like she want me to get involve with them and go hang out with them too. It's very hard to say no to her because she is my BESTFRIEND and i don't want to hurt her. But i really don't wanna be around them and she keep on pushing me. She knows everything that those people do are bad and wrong. What should i do?!

  1. don't let her influence you into doing the same thing she is so get out of the situation if you can, and as for your friend, have a talk with her and tell her how concerned you are although she may get fustrated and lash out anger, but she will be aware of her behaviour and she might actually stop hanging out with the guys who are a bad influence on her, and she will make the right decision of not drinking, smoking etc but  the best thing to do is to tell someone you trust so that they can help you out and support you all the way. tell her parents so they are aware of this.

  2. Well if she can say No to you then you should be able to say No to her! True friendships don't break over things like this. Tell her you will keep being her friend but you don't want to hang out with them. She would accept it if she is a true friend. If not, good riddance.

  3. Just tell her that YOU don't want to hang out with them and explain why.

Unfortunately, she will have to find out for herself about the error of their ways.

Just be there for her when she realizes the error of hers...

  4. you should at least give them a chance

go out drinking with them a couple times and see how it is

then, if you really still don't like it, tell her that

and not EVERYTHING that they do is BAD and WRONG

some of the things might be illegal, but that still doesn't mean that they are wrong, morally

so maybe she's starting to understand that "those people" are actually good people and she likes to party

don't get in her way, don't tell her what to do, because you won't give "those people" a chance

  5. Talk to her about your concerns and see her views, try let her see everything from your perspective.

If you are aware of their influence then I think it is safe to hang out with them, just be wary not to give in to certain pressures and as soon as you feel uncomfortable pull out; if you guys are really best friends, I'm sure she'll understand.

  6. She is old enough to make her own choices as to who she wants to be her friend or not, even if it is the wrong path, as she has presently chosen.  You don't have to hang around these people in order to keep your friend.  You can't persuade her on your own to not hang out with the friends she has chosen, so you will have to stop hanging around her for now until she comes to her senses.  That is if she comes to her senses.  Some people need to learn the hard way, and it sounds like your friend is one of those.

  7. You must make here choose between you and those friend. If she chose you so she really loves you, if she didn't. So I'll be sorry for that, you  should break your friendship with her.

    Good luck.

  8. Well, dont sway on your conviction. You know what drinking/smoking/etc... can do to you.Try to get her out of that "group". If she really is your friend, she would listen to you, though not all people are like that. If you believe in God, you should pray to Him.. Great challenges will meet you on your way of helping your friend..
