Bestofthehawks, Parkwest Leo and Glenard Bay are reserved for the Finale after winning the Coral On TV Stayers Trophy – Heats

On the 14th of November 2011, the Coral On TV Stayers Trophy – Heats were staged to confirm the qualifiers for the final run. The swift finisher of the Grade OR chase among the three purse winners, was Bestofthehawks who although was a little
late in taking the charge, but accomplished in inspiring the entire Romford stadium, by covering the 575 meters distance in less time.
Wearing black and white jacket, trainer C Finch’s hound dashed through trap 4 to chase the lure for the £150 purse.
With 4 – 1 odds, the white and black dog surged through the early lengths with a slow and sure attitude. Suddenly the three-year-old hound presented an immense increase in his tempo.
Rallying through the track with an impressive speed, the trap 4 racer attained the lead over the trap 5 racer Balmi Blue on in the middle.
The swift performer of the Heats led from pillar to post in a time of 35.47 seconds, while trainer D Mullins’s blue dog with 5 – 2 F, finished off second by a length.
C Gardiner’s Parkwest Leo presented a fanatical success in 35.90 seconds. The fawn dog wearing black and white jacket was amazingly swift form the beginning.
In urge to set up an early lead the hound abruptly rallied through the track, but suddenly he got wide, which allowed Coolbrook Paddy who was right behind Parkwest Leo to unveil his racing talent.
With the odds of 20 – 1 C Gardiner’s dog struggled through the lot of hounds and accomplished in retaining his early pace. Holding Coolbrook Paddy with a small margin Parkwest Leo succeeded in winning the chase for C Gardiner.
The last combat went in D Mullins’s favour, whose Glenard Bay presented his trainer a chance to enjoy treats in the Coral On TV Stayers Trophy – Heat.
The four-year-old dog with 7 – 2 C odds cracked out form trap 3 and showed tremendous pace to hit the front turning. Before he reached the escape turn, Glenard Bay took the lead over the entire lot including the Munster Champ who was a length behind him.
Continually surging with an out class pace at the pointer spot, it took the hound 35.72 seconds to break the wire in first place.
The three winners of the Coral On TV Stayers Trophy – Heats, along with the accomplishment of taking home the purse of £150 for their trainers, they have secured their traps for the final chase of £750 prize money.
