Bestofthehawks favourite for May 545 at Mildenhall
Bestofthehawks has won pretty decent odds for winning the May 545 at Mildenhall in England on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
The stamina of all runners will be put to a test in the race today, as the overall distance to cover will be 545 metres. The action is scheduled to begin at 21:45 GMT and following hounds will battle out for victory: Bestofthehawks, Tain Flip, Blackrose
Monach, Smooth Nation, Bumbleebee Casey and Parkers Man.
Looking at the competitiveness of this class, the bookmakers believe that Bestofthehawks will be able to walk away with a comfortable victory at Mildenhall. His recent form has also been good, thus the punters might also risk a lot of bets in his favour.
The C. Finch’s trained hound is quite an experienced runner, thus he is used to handling the pressure at this level. He was impressive in his most recent run at Mildenhall, finishing at the top of the table comfortably.
The white and black dog was not given the best odds last time around, but that did not stop him from taking the top position. He led the race right from the start and did not allow anyone else to come closer until the end. He has got extremely good speed
and stamina, thus will make life difficult for his rivals.
Bestofthehawks is the son of Westmead Hawk out of Lizette and was born in September 2008.
On the other hand, Tain Flip is expected to challenge his opponents for victory at Mildenhall, as he is in spectacular form at the moment. He has managed to win thrice out of his past four Grade OR events, which shows the kind of form he is in at the moment.
In his most recent race, the S. Walsh’s trainee finished at the top of the table by a margin of one and a half length. He showed excellent stamina, as the distance to cover back then was 769 metres.
A similar show will definitely see Tain Flip winning once again in this class. He is the son of Head Bound out of Tain Arth and was born in June 2009.
