I eat 1 sweet potato, 1-2 oranges and usually 2 carrots a day. and my skin( especially hands) turned yellow. It is not noticeable unless putting my hands next to other people's. I cut off those three from my diet and hope the skin tone will return to normal soon. It is not jaundice!

My question is how long does it usually take for skin colour to go back? and How many of these food should i eat? Cus i really LOVE them!

  1. everything in moderation.  If you like these foods, try one serving of ONE of them a day.  Its just the excess carotene being deposited in your skin, its not particularlly bad for you.  It should flush out soon enough, but you could drink cranberry juice or take diueretics to help cleanse it out faster :D

  2. it wont take but a few days for your skin color to come back...lol...try to cut back on the carrots and that may help cut back to 1 carrot, 1 orange, and half the sweet potato...this doesn't seem like enough to cause a lot of yellowing of the skin...but if you're eating a high amount of carrots and other stuff containing beta carotene in it a day then that is most likely causing your skin yellowing...therefore i do believe its not jaundice...cut back on the orange foods and the skin change should let up a lot
