  1. Put the two tanks beside eachother and you need to know how to choose female bettas for breeding.

When choosing a female betta, always get fat big and plump ones,if you got the female at petco or petsmart, the females are garbage there no offense, the barely feed them and theyre only 2-3 months old,go to chinese fish/aquarium stores or big als, they have females there that are pregnant already and theyre filled .

The best thing for you to do now is to keep feeding her freeze dried bloodworms, thoes fatten them up pretty quickly.Again put the tanks beside eachother so the female will have an intrest in the male and get pregnant,if females are pregnant, they have a white spot under theyre belly.

  4. The tank should be fairly large (10 gallon is fine) and you should have lots of vegetation (real or fake) in the tank.  Betas are violent fish, and males and females will often fight with each other if the tank is too small or there's no way to allow them to get out of site of each other.  Also keep in mind there's no guarantee your male and female will hit it off.

I suggest 3 or so females, lots of vegetation, and one male.  If the tank is large enough and has enough vegetation you can actually get away with having multiple males in the same tank.

  5. omg you need to be prepared! as soon as the female lays eggs get her out of there, you need a divider so the male wont kill her, he will take care of the eggs.
