I have a little beta fish that I take care of at work, and I've grown quite fond of him. Lately, he's been troubling me with his antics. He's become very lethargic, either hanging out at the bottom of the bowl near the rocks, or at the top. And today, I was watching him swim, and he seems like he's having problems with his left side. He's only using his right fin to swim. I change his water consistently, and feed him every morning, only what I know he'll eat. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

  1. Nope. ur not doing anything wrong. Its just getting to the time when they pass away. Just make him as comfortable as possible.

  2. Your not doing anything wrong! How long have you had him? Those are signs that your fish is getting old. Betta's only live 3-4 years, and most Betta's ar the pet store are already 6 months or older.

  3. I don't thing he is acting funny, i think that he is trying to survive.

Try giving him less food for a bit and change the water. It always work and don't make his stomach look like a balloon cause it will cause them to swing like this.
