Betis vs. Granada – Spanish La Liga match review (Part 2)

Cristiano Ronaldo was the one who equalized for Madrid, as he took a penalty and brought both teams on level term.
Later, David Cortes scored an own goal, hence being the player who gifted Real Madrid all the three points from the fixture.
The win takes Real Madrid to 97 points in the Spanish La Liga.
At full-time, Granada and Madrid were both involved in a brawl and two of the home team’s players were shown red cards by the referee.
Before the match kicked off, Granada welcomed Madrid with a guard of honour.
The match started and Madrid were finding it hard to settle on the pitch as Granada kept on threatening Adan’s goal time after time.

Real Madrid were finding it hard to create goal-scoring opportunities. They were keeping the ball for long intervals, but with less creativity in the midfield, it was difficult for them to threaten Granada’s goal.
Talk-of-the-season in terms of being benched, Nuri Sahin was the first Real Madrid who created the first real chance for the visitors. The Turkish star picked the ball from 25-yards out and decided to shoot it from long range. The ball swerved past the goalkeeper
and almost found the back of the net.

During the 58th minute, Madrid came close to equalizing. Marcelo’s cross found Karim Benzema on the right flank and the Frenchman only took a single touch to bring the ball down. Benzema tried his luck on goal but Cesar was on his toes and denied
Madrid a brilliant goal-scoring opportunity.
Only a few minutes later, Ronaldo had another chance after a pass from Higuain, but the Portuguese star could not convert the opportunity gifted to him.
During the 79th minute, Moises brought down Ronaldo in the penalty area and Madrid finally had the chance to find the equalizer. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 stepped up to take the penalty and made no mistake to find the back of the net.
Later, Blancos managed to take the lead with the help of an own goal scored by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350 who crossed the ball into the penalty area and David Cortes couldn’t direct the ball to go out of play; in fact, he put his past his own goalkeeper
and into the back of the net.
Real Madrid won the game 1-2 and the match ended with the players wrestling with each other and the referee. Two of the players received red cards while a few of the staff members received suspensions.
Madrid have the opportunity to end the season with a hundred points while Granada are to survive the relegation battle when they face Rayo Vallecano in Madrid on the next weekend.
