Question:

Betta filter need help plz

so i just got my betta today ..my filter was on low speed ..when i put the betta in the tank it seem to swim under it..i think he/she i dont know wat s*x it is...she was like biting the filter ..then i took the filter off the tank and now she seems to go anywhere around the tank...should i put it back..do bettas actually need a filter please answear as soon as possible

  1. Every tank should have a filter. It helps maintain a chemical and biological balance in your tank and removes many things that will harm a fish if left unfiltered. It cuts down on mandatory water changes and removes unsightly debris from the water.

    You can buy in-tank filters if your betta is disturbed by the cascade of the filter. Your tank should be 10 gallons or less to have one of these filters, as bigger tanks need slightly more powerful ones.

    Male betta have long distinct fins and tail and bright vibrant colors. Females are usually less bright with shorter, less flashy fins


  2. i personally i found that my bettas are just as happy in an unfiltered tank as they are in a filtered tank so i would remove the filter.  as long as you clean the tank once a week you should be fine.
