  1. No fish likes likes to be in foggy-cloudy water, not even the betta splendens. Fish likes clean water, clear water, as clean as the water you drink.

  2. i dont think so, i am a previous betta owner and foggy tanks shouldn't be a problem. just take a goldfish bowl, fill it to the top, but some marbles and plants in there. and food, and she should be fine just clean out the tank every 2 weeks, or every week if necessary.

  3. ...I have not seen any previous posts by you, however

..a foggy-cloudy tank is not ready for the Betta

....wait a couple of days more.....

...if the tank is smaller, the reaction will be faster....keep the water filter running all the time, i recomend live plants too, in the tank as the cycling occurs...ammonia is needed to feed the aerobic bacteria that grow in our water filters....these are good things

.....add some fish flakes to the tank, to decay and create food for those bacteria...they will eat some ammonia and eventually eat nitrites....and create nitrates

.....meanwhile the live plants also absorb ammonia and nitrates

....those are extremely good things for ahealthy fish tank of any size, ever

....after the cloudy water clears up, take a water sample to Petsmart and ask for a new water test

...if the ammonia and nitrites are low enough then add the Betta

....if you already have the Betta you can keep it in the tank, just be sure to change about 30% of the water every 2 days, refill the tank with dechlorinated tap water

....use luke warm water so the fish is not cold

....then every 7 to 10 days change 25% of the water, so the toxins dont build up again...the fish will always be healthy and happy with clean water and live plants

  5. i haven't seen ur other questions but I think that a foggy cloudy tank is not good for a betta fish and not ready so u need to get a new one maybe. idk really. lol.

    just trying to help

  6. Don't get a bowl for the betta unless it is at least a gallon and you can clean it at least every 3 or four days. Bettas are happier and healthier in real aquariums! They are tropical fish and need heaters! If you must use a bowl, don't try to heat it, that will only cause way too many problems. Also, don't fill it to the top, like one of the other answerers suggested. Bettas jump! Also, they have a device that lets them breathe air from the surface, and the more surface area they have the better they are. So fill the bowl up about 3/4 full, so there is lots of surface area and less chance of jumping.

  7. I suggest that before you bring it home, I would totally clean out the tank, and filter. Then let it cycle for a day.
