Betta question ??????

i have my betta in my room and i was wondering if i should move it because my room is like 86 or 84 degrees i wanted to know if i should move it because i think it might be too hot he has been doing fine so far and i have had him for a while now

  1. He probably likes it nice and toasty, I know mine do!


  2. Get a small thermometer to monitor the tank's temp.

    It should be fine up to 83-84, though I'd be nervous letting it get higher.

    The main concern is how fast the temperature rises and drops. Abrupt changes in temperature can cause the fish stress and he'll be come ill. Make sure the temp isn't shooting way up during the day, and drastically down at night.

  3. They like to live between 75-86 F. So you're at the upper end so it shouldn't be an issue, usually the hot water would raise concerns over the O2 content, however as the betta can lung breathe this really isn't a problem.  

  4. hed probably be loving it. although you do need to keep the temp constant so if your room gets cold at night just wrap a towel around him to keep it more at a constant temp instead of fluctuating up and down as that make cuase the betta not to feel too good. or if the temp goes up and down heaps you may want to consider a heater. otherwise all is good.
