  1. Your Beta should be fine with a snail.

I have a 10 gallon tank with a cleaner fish, a male beta, and a few black mollys in it. They all get along well. The beta will sometimes chase the mollys a little. But he has never attacked them or bit them.

  2. Betta's require very warm water and goldfish require very cool water so they are not compatible.  A snail could go with a betta.  Also a betta needs a 5 gallon heated filtered tank, not one of those tiny bowls they sell for them.  You'll end up with a miserable fish that dies in one of those.

  3. I really do not think you should put anything else in the tank. You can, however, put them in seperate tanks near each other and see how they react to each other. Betta fish are good, they can live up to several years as compared to goldfishes weeks or what ever, also they come in a variety of colors(they mainly sell males in the stores for that reason)

P.S. DO NOT COMPLETLY TRUST ME, I WOULD SUGGEST ASKING SOMEONE AT THE PET STORE

  4. Never add snails to tanks!!! They have tons of babies!!! I had 2 guppies and I put a snail in there and it had millions of babies and they ate my guppies alive!! It was so sad!!
