Better Be Mine to prevail in the Royal Ascot Live On ATR Sky 415 Handicap at Lingfield
The Class 6 Royal Ascot Live On ATR Sky 415 Handicap will be hosted by Lingfield over a mile and four furlongs on Thursday, 7th June. The line-up for the race has thirteen three-year-old runners who will contest for the £1,704 prize money.
There is a mix of those who have not raced their seasonal debut yet and those who have settled into the season long way back.
One of the strongest contenders for the race is Better Be Mine, Big Bad Bob’s three-year-old brown filly out of mare, Cara Fantasy. She has only raced twice during the new season but both the times she has been sent as the favourite and has finished decently.
She rolled into the new season on 11th April at Kempton in the Skysports.Com Handicap over a mile and three furlongs. She was entered as the 3/1 favourite and ended in a dead heat with Midnight Sequel who was riding with Martin Lane.
Better Be Mine had Ryan Moore onboard and the two could keep Always Ends Well adrift by a neck’s difference.
The brown filly’s second start of the season was in the Betfair Iphone & Android App Handicap on 1st May at Kempton over a mile and four furlongs.
Winning the race with a length’s advantage was Like Clockwork and finishing the closest to the winner was Fleur De La Vie. Catching up with the third position was the 3/1 favourite of the race, Better Be Mine.
She was victorious in the final race of the previous season on 28th September. She won the Nottingham Racecourse Hospitality Nursery at Nottingham over a mile and two furlongs.
She claimed this race while guided by Cathy Gannon on the track and the two led by just half a length setting Tiger Cub into the second slot. Coming at terms with the third position was the 6/4 favourite of the race, Hurricane Emerald.
Reviewing the outcomes of her last three ventures in line, Better Be Mine has maintained a certain level of performance. She has not raced at Lingfield before and today will be her first experience there making way through the third outing of the season.
