Ok i've here that if you buy foamie (softtop board) and you get really great a surfing, it is worth and less money wen you think about to buy a better hardtop board wen surfing. Cuz you'll get stuck with two baords in the end!

  1. It all depends on the individual.

I personally have 6 boards. And one of them is a softtop.

In actuallity you want a different board for different conditions. The best way is to get lots of different boards.

If you aren't that into surfing then yeah, you would be wasting your money by having an extra board.

  2. Nothing wrong with learning on a soft top.  They actually hold their value pretty well so you can use it as a trade in.  Or when you get better and buy a styrofoam board you can let a friend use your soft top board.

Nothing wrong with having a bunch of boards either.

  3. I personally feel that softtop boards are c**p. They seem to not perform as well should I say. It all depends on the person. You may find someone that is interested in a soft top. But not me. Nothing beats a Hard top. Way Better. I mostly see beginners with softies. So you may find that perfect person that wants a softy. But Make the switch and get a hard top.
