Mayweather definitely. His natural skill and talent is better by far. Now that doesn't mean Mayweather would step in the ring against Pavlik and defeat him.

Size matters in boxing, and 13 lbs is a lot to over come, Floyd didn't look all that impressive at 147 and only beat DeLa Hoya because Oscar stopped jabbing.  It is a stretch, but with in the realm of possibility that if both wanted to, they could fight.  It is unlikely, I don't think Floyd is interested in any difficult fights, he is only looking for easy paydays, but it's still within the constraints of reality.  If they fought, Mayweather would run and try to out speed a much bigger Pavlik, and unfortunately for Floyd Pavlik wouldn't stop jabbing like Oscar did.

Few people in the history of boxing could do what Roberto Duran did, and win titles from 135 to 168, and I don't think Floyd is tough enough to out slug a bigger guy.

Floyd couldn't beat Kelly from the outside, Pavlik's jab is world class, constant and punishing, it's an offensive weapon as well as a disruptive force to anyone attacking Pavlik.  Floyd doesn't have the stomach to slug on the inside with a heavy puncher who out weighs him by 25 lbs, so Mayweather would lose inside agaisnt Pavlik as well.

Sugar Ray Robinson was a better fighter than Joey Maxim, but circumstances worked against Ray.  The same holds true here, and Mayweather wouldn't be able to beat Pavlik either.

Pound 4 Pound Mayweather is better. But if you were to put them in the ring with each other then Pavlik would win. So it depends on what one you want to go with.

Floyd Mayweather is the better pound for pound fighter because he has the better overall skills- he is faster, has better defense (he would never stick his chin out in the open like Pavlik did in the first fight with Jermain Taylor), has better foot movement, and he is the more accurate puncher.  Pavlik does have more power, even when you take into consideration the size difference, but overall, Floyd is the better fighter.  

His record is 39-0, with 25 knockouts.

Give me a break.  Pound for pound Pavlik is nowhere near Mayweather.  He is a decent fighter no doubt, but to think he is in the class of a Hagler or Hopkins is a little foolish.

No question hands down mayweather is superior to kelly in every possible way. Kelly is good and fun to watch fight but  he comes nowhere close to the talent/skill lv of mayweather. Mayweather is an excellent fighter and well kelly is just a good fighter.

Mayweather but it's close. Mayweather has had some close fights. Kelly won all of his fights with ease. But Mayweather has beaten everyone from Jose Luis Castillo to Ricky Hatton.
