Better living cosmetologists or barbers

Question

i want to know what would be better to go into barber school or cosmetoldy school

im a 19 year old female (if that makes any difference)

i do want to be able to do crazy fun hairstyles and i want to do color also

but is there a higher success rate for barbers or for cosmetolgists?

Cosmologist would make more per client BUT their clients generally take way longer to finish. Also women are way picky about their hair and it would be  more stressful. Barbers move more people and get more customers and less complaints from men. Barbers tend to have more repeat customers and the chair rent would probably be less. Also doing womans hair you have more investment in tools.

If you are cute you would get good tips from men.

Cosmetologists likely make more money and getting larger tips.  My daughter is a cosmetologist -- her prices range from $25 for a cut to more than a hundred for color, etc.  My dad went to a barber and paid $10 for a hair cut. Do the math.
