Better mile time?

im striving a 7:00 min. mile right now im a litle out of shape but im currently in a program called W.A.P.T (womens advanced personal training) its a weight treaning program for your core and all muscels. anyone have any advice? my current mile time is a 8:00min (when i was in shape) i have 2 months to get this down.

  1. Dont run run run

    You'll wear your body out before the training effect can take place.

    run once a day, and slowly increase your mileage to 3-4 miles per day, then stay there and start dropping the pace


  2. I've got a friend that runs it in 4 minutes. How did he do it? Who knows...

    It's either a god-given talent, but he still practices almost every waking minute of the day. Run, run, run.

    run in the morning, run in the afternoon, and run in the evening.

    run about a mile each time gradually increasing distance and speed.

    i say go for longer runs to get better endurance.
