It wouldn't take Stone Cold long to destroy John Cena. Stone Cold is an aggressive brawler. Cena is just plain sloppy. That match would be no contest.

Well, if you look at Austin when he was in WCW in the early 90's..he had plenty of classic matches. He was a great performer, there's no doubt about it. Go to youtube and look up his WCW matches. He was wayyyy better than Cena is now at that time.

It's not fair to compare Austin to another wrestler when you consider what he did wrestling wise during the attitude era. Ever since he got his neck seriously injured in 1997, Austin wasn't able to wrestle like he used to. He admits it himself the injury messed him up and he couldn't perform anymore like he used to.

So to answer your question..Austin was a way better wrestler than Cena.

Basically, do your research before you act like you know..look it up and watch the matches from back then..Cena doesn't even come close. Austin had a series of classic matches with Ricky Steamboat..and was excellent when he was a part of the tag team The Hollywood Blonds..all in WCW.

You're in High School, which means you were in diapers when I was watching Austin wrestle his a$$ off in WCW in the early 90's.

EDIT: JBL and Umaga?!..are you serious. I did obviously..and those matches aren't as good as Austin's best in WCW. HBK and Edge were Cena's best matches, HHH were ok..but Austin's were just better...he had a whole lot bigger move set than Cena does.

If you just type in Steve Austin WCW in the youtube search you get some matches...

EDIT2: Yeah, Steamboat might've been carrying that match, cause even Austin said he learned a lot from Steamboat during that time. But Austin could perform well with many wrestlers in those days..not just Steamboat.

stone cold..if u watch his wcw/ecw days had alot of moves..it just depended on his gimmick..john cena is decent but i feel stone cold is better

Good Question...

If you were asking about who has a more marketable gimmick...it would be a lot easier to say.

In his prime, Steve Austin was a fantastic wrestler with a mixture of mat and aerial.  When he became 'Stone Cold', he was more limited in the ring due to nagging knee and neck injuries.

John Cena...like him or hate him...is truly a total package.  I really don't think that he has reached his potential in the ring yet.  His only drawback is he is becoming complacent in the ring (I.E.  Using a set group of moves).  He will only get better with time.

Well, neither of them are actually great wrestlers (In ring) but the answer is Austin, because he actually was entertaining in the ring, John Cena just doesn't have much in ring talent.
