Betting Preview of top 10 players at BMW Championship
The U.S. Ryder Cup team captain, Corey Pavin would be announcing his squad of 12 today, after which these players will then march towards the Celtic Manor.
Here is the betting list of ten players that would most probably land in the top ten of playoffs’ third leg which is taking place this week at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club.
Tiger Woods
This option is strange but yes he will make it to the final team after getting through the BMW Championship. The reason for this appears to be his constant improving performance that is evident from his top 11th finish at the TPC Boston. Apart from this, Tiger also holds a record of setting the course at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club on fire by scoring 62, last year. Moreover, he also has five victories on this course but despite all this, if he doesn’t win this time, he would surely finish in the top five.
Luke Donald
Luke Donald, at present, seems to be in the right form as he had finished in the top 15s at the Barclays and also got tied for second position at Deutsche Bank Championship. As for his previous achievements at Cog Hill course, the player finished among the top ten while he has also been practicing at this venue.
Steve Stricker
The reason behind him being in the top ten is his familiarity with the course and his recent stats. Steve finished in the top 10s at the Deutsche Bank Championship last week. He had posted a victory at Dubsdread earlier.
Brandt Snedeker
He was in the top 5s last week at the Deutsche Bank Championship while he also once finished among the top 10s at the Cog Hills. His confidence would be sky-high at the moment.
Zach Johnson
Despite an unimpressive performance in the playoffs’ second leg, Zach Johnson made the cut in the BMW Championship. Although, he started the tournament with an early lead but couldn’t hold it down the lane. Still, he had posted a top 5 finish last year at Cog Hill which means he has a sound knowledge of what the course will be demanding from the winner.
Matt Kuchar
He was the first one to enter the semi finals as he stands first on the FedEx list with 4325 points. Kuchar also finished with a tie for 11th spot in the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Jim Furyk
Another player who could be seen in the top 10s is Jim Furyk. Although, he started with a good pace at TPC Boston but still failed to carry it through, finally finishing with a tie at the 11th spot. As for his affiliation with Cog Hill, he had finished second there last year which means that he has equal chances as that of Tiger Woods to take a position in the top five.
John Senden
He was one of the early leaders at Barclays with a 67 on the scorecard while he also took the top 8th finish at TPC Boston. He had made the cut in the 2009 BMW Championship where he finished in the top 20 with a final round of 77.
Phil Mickelson
Phil is 14th on the FedEx standings which is enough to consider him in the top 10s. However, although he played well last week but his performance wasn’t outstanding. Regarding his last performance at the venue, he finished first two rounds with par and the last round with a 76 that means he was nowhere to be seen on the leader board.
Charley Hoffman
Despite his terrible performance last year at the BMW Championship, he still can’t be ignored after his recent outstanding victory at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He scored a 62 in the final round. Without a doubt, he has all the chances to shine in the upcoming event.
