I am a regular gambler and win sometimes but as you are probably aware lose the majority of times. I seen a bet on the blueaq website and ws wonderng what you all thought about it. For every live match they do a price on the method of the first goal scored (regardless of the team). They give a price of 25/1 for the frst goal to be scored direct from a free kick. So i was thinking you know Lampard etc for Chelsea and also Celtic and Rangers. There are at least 4 live games evey weekend between the saturday and sunday. 25/.1 seems like a pretty big price. It would give a little excitement for the games plus the bettng wouldnt be that big. I dont imagine you would win that often but at the same time you will not be spending too much and if it comes upyou win quite a bit. I was thinking of doing a lucky 15.

4 x £2 Singles (1 Single returns £52)

6 x £1 Doubles (1 Double returns £676)

4 x 50p Trebles (1 Treble returns £8788)

1 x £1 Accumulator (Accumulator returns £456,976)

  1. lucky 15 you have the same stake for each bet. £1 would be staked on every single, double, treble and fourfold. from how you set it out you are betting less money on the singles (much more likely to come in) and more on the trebles (less likely to come in). so on a lucky 15 youll win £26 if one free kick occurs. if you bet how you set it out above then you'll win £52. so basically do it how you set it out as you only spend £2 more and if one free kick does come in the profit will be substancially higher.

  2. Normally prop bets like this are either very good value or very bad value. I bet sports for a living but I don't do any soccer. That being said my dad did play professional soccer  so I have some familiarity and 1/25 does not seem like exceptionally good value.

There must be a UK version of CBSSportsline or ESPN that would have these types of stats. It would be a lot of work to go though every match but that is what you need to get an idea. See how often this happens but also look for patterns of what common conditions lead to it happening.

  3. 17 quid is quite steep for me considering I don't think it will happen. But if you have the money, do it. The odds are good for a reason.

If you bet on Junior losing the boxing last night, you would have got 6/1 (I knew he would lose, and gutted I was right) you would have been ok. It is a good bet though, and I think it could be worth it for half a mill.

  4. I think that I would try and get some stats on how often this occurs (sorry cannot suggest where from). Once in possession of this information then you could decide whether or not the bet is viable.

You may be surprised and find that the likelihood of this happening is more likely with lower league teams but again see what the stats say.

You could also reduce your initial stake until you start winning some serious money and then increase it so that you are then playing with the bookies money.

I am always wary of bookmakers who offer this type of bet - remember they do not really want you to win. The true odds of this happening are also likely to be much greater than 25/1 so you also have to consider the value of the bet.

  5. why not, ive heard of worse bets...but would this be your only bet of the week or would u betting on anything else.????
