Question:

Betting on tonight’s Scottish Derby? Bettor watch the Krug

The Bettor.com Scottish Derby is in full swing and as I sit in my little hotel room in Glasgow writing this, whilst the rain pours down outside yet again, I am already getting twitchy for the Quarter Finals to commence.
The buzz surrounding this year’s Derby has been immense and the turn out last Saturday night at Shawfield was excellent. The races seemed to merge into one and even Jonathan Kay from the Racing Post thought the night was ‘intense’. Then again, I did put him under Twitter pressure by trying to tweet the results before he did.
As for the betting, it's getting interesting. Our current antepost favourite at 4.1 is Barry Draper's Farley Blitz, who just managed to catch up to and beat Target Classic last Saturday in 29.20 seconds. Boher Legend is also one to watch after he claimed the fastest time of 28.94 seconds in the heats, and is currently priced at 5.5. Mill Bling Bling is priced at 6.7 to win the competition, and should do well tonight as the trap draw is in his favour.
It's such a competitive line up though that anything could happen.
Another consideration is Fraser Blacks' Krug Ninety Five who’s currently 10.00 to take home the trophy. I watched him fly round the track at the trials; he had a smooth run just over a week ago and a repeat performance on Saturday. He just puts his head down and runs so close to the rails that you hold your breath for fear he’ll run into them, so having been drawn in trap three he stands a good chance of getting close to them again, and, if he does and leads all the way, I think he’ll sail into the semi’s.
That's all from me for now, but if you'd like to follow us and our live commentary and results from tonight’s races, or if you just want to see who (me on @Bettor_GRacing or Jonathan at @JKgreyhounds) can tweet the results first, don’t forget to tune into Twitter.
