  1. They don't care about you, there taking out the big guy... the bookie you or your friend is dealing with is not the main guy... he is taking bets for another guy who is bigger then him... and there might even be a guy bigger then him... Trust me the Feds wants the big guys not the little $100 or even $1000 bet guys... You and your friend are all set... If your bookie ever goes down.

  2. Well it depends where this hypothetical teen is living.  But if it is in America, there is very little chance they will bother to do anything to you.

  3. If a bookie goes down.. he/she ain't dropping any dime on their customers. There is nothing with you name on it there. If he/she has your phone number.. cops will never get that. The bookie needs your business.. He will do a couple days in jail.. then be right back in business. There are not a bunch of bookies left.. there a dieing breed.. There is just to many sites on the Internet to bet whatever you want..

  4. They can charge you with illegal gambling but since you are still considered a minor, they will probably just give you a warning

  5. It really depends on where you're from.

In some countries you might have your head chopped off who knows? :)

    King Cobra Poker

  6. I can say honestly, I don't know the extent of the law on this, but you probably wouldn't get in much trouble, if any at all. Unless they found that you were winning thousands or tens of thousands and not claiming it on your taxes or something (And still, thats a stretch). People generally don't get arrested/jail-time for placing sports bets.

The only way you would be in serious trouble is if you were directly or even indirectly involved in the sport or had some insider information from the players, trainers, or organization that could threaten the integrity of the game.

Lastly, why bet with a bookie? Go with a reputable online sportsbook instead. As far as I know, no one has EVER been prosecuted for gambling on sports online. (The laws on it are somewhat fuzzy).

  7. depends on where, but in most state, it is not illegal to make a bet.

just make sure you are on very friendly terms with the bookie (make sure he is not connected in any way, mob related).

you don't want to get in a situation where you owe money you can't pay.

last thing, don't bet on credit!

  8. bookies are a good move
