  1. IF YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT NO ONE WILL KNOW YOU OWE THIS BOOKIE SO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT

  2. They write in code  if he is connected they don't care about your $50. bet they want Mr. Big!

  3. Very funny.... Only if your friend do the right thing, turn your a** in....

  4. You've broken the law.  Probably tried as an adult.  Probably fine & community service.

  5. Why do people talk about their crimes online?

Most likely you are okay as a small fish.

  6. The better is usually left alone..the bookie.runner.collector.etc..they have problems...

but you might want to only bet with your friends,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it is not a good habit.............some of my friends have lost their business.their family...parts of their body do not work anymore....

Also, your phone might be tapped and you family will get investigated...........NOT GOOD.............

  7. Your a minor and can't legally enter into a contract so you never made a bet. Betting doesn't seem to be a huge priorty for law enforcement, it's doubtful they even care about the bookie, let alone you. It's kind of stupid gambling is illegal, yet the government runs casinos and lotteries. It has nothing to do with what's good for people or the country, the government only cares if they get a cut. There are plenty of online casinos and bookies that will take bets and uncle sam gets no money for it. god bless them.

  8. My sister's Boyfriend is in prison for 6 month for betting with a bookie.  Bookie got 2 years.  Seeing that you are 17, you are also to young to gamble legally let alone illegally.  Can you say Don't Drop the Soap?

  9. If you have never been in trouble most likely will get probation and possibly a fine.

  10. The police love when they catch a criminal, for that person to turn in co-conspirators so that they can receive a lighter sentence.  Can you say, "up the river baby"?  We will pray for you.

  11. Well, I live down south and down here the bookies work at the race tracks with the race horses or they also bet with poker games and at the casino. If you are 17 and bet and lose and do not pay the Bookie, you will be pursued and forced to pay. They never get in trouble. I just have that info from the grapevine.

  12. If the bookie keeps any sort of records, you're screwed.

I don't think it would be a serious charge against you, however.  But it won't be something you can hide from your parents.  Anyway, at 17 you're in over your head with the gambling.  There's a lot of sharks out there waiting to fleece you.

  13. It's a sad bookie who has to write down names. Get a real bookie, or use the state book, OTB, nunbers, or the internet for Vegas. I think it's wonderful how states declare gambling illegal, and make money from fines, then change their tune  and turn every gas station and newsstand into a book, using the old "It's for the Schools" scam, then launder the money into the general fund, never to be seen again. Hooray for politics.

  14. yeah you could get in trouble it would depend on how much money you are talking

  15. All the previous answer were O.K. but they missed one very important point.Your illegal activities are always influenced by several other things such as how "prominent" your family is, how much money they have, social status and E.C.T. If you come from a wealthy family the case very well may get lost in the shuffle  of  the paperwork, and if not they make a horrible example out of you!

  16. If they find betting slips with your name on it, yes. Also, being an under age better is another charge they will tack on if your caught.
