Bettor Dot Com prepares for Sussex Cup in Trial Stakes tonight
Bettor Dot Com gained his first victory at Brighton & Hove last month in the Coral Olympic Maiden and will be returning to the very same stage to flex his muscles over the 515m for the Coral Sussex Cup Trial Stakes tonight.
Two sets of trial stakes are scheduled to commence at the track before the actual heats for the Sussex Cup begin. This year’s Sussex Cup boasts a winner’s prize of £10,000 and is one of 33 greyhound racing finals on the calendar which will be televised live on Sky.
Bettor.com PR manager Jayne Clarke said: "He’s a lovely puppy with a great future ahead of him. He performed really well at Hove last month when he defeated favourite Droopys Elan so he stands every chance in doing well again tonight."
Bettor Dot Com will be competing in the 20:18 meeting and has been gifted with a trap-six draw.
Trainer Tony Lucas said: "It’s the first time he’ll have a chance to compete with the big boys, the result of tonight’s race will give you a rough idea of what’s to be expected in the Sussex cup."
"But in tonight’s race, it all depends on whether he can break well enough."
