Bettor.com’s Top 10 Classy-Batsmen from 1990 onwards (Part 1)
The term “classy-batsmen” doesn’t indicate the individual record or statistics of that particular batsman in discussion, a class-act batsman is someone, who can strike a boundary simply by settling on his back-foot, and gently pushing the ball towards the
fence.
He also should have the ability to sweetly time the cricket ball into the gap. A class-act doesn’t require power and strength to hit boundaries and sixes. He can do all the scoring with pure timing, or the flow of his bat, which comes from having a high
back lift.
A combination of several attributes makes a fine class act batsman, as a classy batsman can play under any given cricketing circumstances. The pitch, weather conditions or out-field, literally nothing stops a class act to play his natural game.
Classy batting legends can play under immense pressure, even though, they tend to bat their innings out according to their natural ability. But high scores or the nature of the match, and its importance in the given tournament or series never affects them.
A classy batsman’s stroke play will always be natural, but the pace at which he plays varies according to the situation.
The general playing role of a batsman is to stand at the crease, settle in, bat in light of the scenario at hand, defend his wicket, and make the most of every ball bowled at him.
A good batsman can be anyone with a good eye and hand co-ordination, as he will be able to go after the ball as soon as he spots the line and length of the delivery at hand.
Like all sports, a successful cricketer or team is one, which has a firm grip in all three cricketing departments, which includes batting, bowling and fielding. Arguably, one might support the importance of one over the other, but the reality is that the
3 basic or general departments have their own equal need and requirement.
Pakistani former captain and “Guru” of fast bowling, Waqar Younis, always prayed during his captaincy tenure, that he could lead a team, which had the level and standards, the South Africans had in the middle. Since the veteran believed a good fielding
side can save a healthy 30 to 50 runs.
On the contrary, Indian cricket has gradually dominated the international arena, and they have achieved this with depth in their batting. No doubt that the Indians have a commendable bowling attack, but most of the matches won by them in the last 2 decades
are surely because of their World class batting line-up.

Not to forget, they also had match-winners in the batting department in likes of Saeed Anwar, Ijaz Ahmed and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Inzamam-ul-Haq-c64383, but their fast bowlers or the two W’s dominated the match-winner’s claim.
Nevertheless, to come up with a list of Bettor.com’s top 10 classy batsmen in the time period from 1990 till 2010 is one of the most difficult things Bettor.com’s cricket team had to put up with.
Keeping in mind, that World cricket has produced and seen one of the best batsmen there are in the game during this time frame. Among these World class batsmen they’re one of the finest class act batsmen ever witnessed by the international arena. But to
arrange and list them in a numerical order was harder than one could think. Since a class act is not classified in terms of individual records or career statistics, they are a combination of several attributes as mentioned before as well.
