half-centuries under his belt, and also maintained an outstanding strike rate of 81.13.
De Silva’s 64 half-centuries indicate the fact that he would come in late in the order and tried to build an innings out of scrap, and the mere fact that he had the tendency to convert fifties into hundreds indicate the many match-winning performances by
the veteran. Moreover, he maintained an exceptionally fast pace.
