  1. NY Times is the best to me.  Nicely written and it has informative articles.  It does have some liberal bias though- if you're concerned about a paper not being open.  Though I still like it :), its awesome and well I tend to lean a little more left (i'm moderate, pragmatic democrat) so that's why I like it.  I also enjoy the Washington Post.  I read it sometimes...it has a conservative slant (somewhat) but its still nicely done.

Now if you're talking about magazines..hmm Economist would be the best :) I enjoy The Economist a bunch.  Its a great magazine, doesn't give unneeded news and is mostly pretty open- it has opinions in it, but it gives reasons to its thoughts and is a fair news.

  2. San Francisco Chronicle has great funnies.

  3. NY Post! They are not afraid of offending anyone and I cannot resist Page 6.

  4. It depends on your taste, and what you want to read. The New York Times has the best international coverage in the U.S. The Los Angeles Times comes in second place. Both papers have a left-wing perspective on things. The Washington Post has the best government coverage around. The Wall Street Journal offers good articles besides stock market news from a right-wing perspective. The Miami Herald offers the best Latin American coverage in the U.S. (arguably).

  5. Chicago Tribune is absolutely the BEST!

  6. Fresno Bee! I first pick it up at an airport and I think its good:)
