Beverly Percival Tonge not appearing in Arnold Sports Festival Bodybuilding Competition 2011
Veteran women’s bodybuilder and reigning national champion of Antigua has opted out of the Arnold Sports Festival Bodybuilding Competition 2011 which is set to take place in the US from March 3 – 6.
The Arnold Sports Festival is recognised as the largest multi-sport festival in the nation and the greatest sports fitness experience of a lifetime.
The festival includes new competition of Arnold Sports Film Festival, the Bikini International, the Arnold Track & Field Championships, the Arnold Hockey Challenge and the Kurt Angle World Teen Challenge, will be held in Columbus, Ohio at the Greater Columbus
Convention Centre and Franklin County Veteran’s Memorial.
Tonge said that she does not feel like being in her best form and this is the main reason for not participating in the prestigious event. She also added that Arnold Classic Amateur is a totally different competition as the girls participating in it are on
a completely different wavelength so going there without 100 percent preparation is of no use.
Tonge was also questioned as to why she does not go there to have an experience. She replied that this undertaking is an expensive one and if the amount of money is supposed to be spending somewhere, she would prefer spending it on some competition rather
for an experience.
She was also asked about her future plans on the local scene. Tonge said she is fixing herself up for another national contest ahead before focusing on any other competition outside Antigua.
Tonge also highlighted the she had no interest to participate in the upcoming national event but the people want her to be back because maybe they want her to see a bit bigger but the way her preparation is, she is still shaky about it.
The Arnold Amateur IFBB International Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure and Bikini Championships are quickly earning a reputation and it also is the quickest route from little known amateur to being a rising star.
The Golden prospect has withdrawn from the competition that has a prize money of US$ 130,000, a Hummer vehicle and an Audemars Piguet watch.
