Question:

Bewildering behaviour

Why is it that I can stand in a bar half the night and watch groups of men NOT talking to groups of women.

But the moment that I speak to any one of the females, suddenly that's the only female in the bar that any male wants to talk to.

Wouldn't you say that this is pathetic behaviour or is it me that's being pathetic in some strange way. It's almost as if the men and women of Britain don't want to get off with one another.

Have you seen the Rusel Crowe movie where he plays a genius and he works out that we all end up with more if we cooperate.

I must be a genius too because I figured that one out long before I saw that movie

  1. Gee, I don't know, but what bar are you at?

  2. The reason this happens is because fundamentally, people are sheep.  By this I mean that nearly every person on the planet wants to be told what to do.  Those who don't naturally rise up and take the role of leader, or for rhw sake of this analogy, shepherd.

The "sheep" phenomina is illustrated in many places, but another really stellar example is when you go to the greengrocers and park in a deserted area of the parking lot.  When you come out, always, your automobile is surrounded by others.
