The name O’Brien has dominated Ascot’s major Flat fixtures for more than 40 years.

In the last decade it has been Aidan O’Brien who at times has appeared to be an almost permanent fixture in the winner’s enclosure. Before that it was Vincent O’Brien and it was his son, Charles, who was by the winner’s spot after Bewitched won the Group Three Models 1 Bengough Stakes.
