Or is it "just local", think about it, because if there is an international link (and this question seeks an answer to this) we need the information to counteract international terrorism for the sake of the UK and the world.

  1. What has Bhutto's  assassination attempt got to do with us? Its over there. Aren't you getting too stressed out by all this terror talk?

Consider the terror the poor Iraqis live under. With B52s flying overhead all day and gung ho trigger happy Americans shooting people left right and centre. I will go to Starbucks.

  2. "Bhutto nearly killed by....." What about the people who WERE killed do they not matter???? Are they not EQUALLY important. Benazir Bhutto (and I am an admirer of her and her father) had a choice and by announcing her return in the manner she did, in effect, tempted and dared the situation to develop. A more professional. mature and responsible announcement and approach perhaps would not have resulted in such carnage and allowed these mindless thugs to do what they did.

  3. there is nothing about international terrorism..i believe this the work of people from the government..do you believe Musharraf really want to exercise power sharing with Bhutto?i don't think so...Musharraf allowed Bhutto return to Pakistan because he know she is not the real threat for his political position...compared to Nawaz Shariff,he can give threat to Musharraf..

  4. haha u really are on edge about all of this. The people in apksitan hate her so much becuase she was completely corrupt... now musharraf is corrupt as well and want to put her abck in power but the americans dont want ot discredit that hypocritcal dictator musharraf becuase he supports the war on terror and they are afraid that any elected candidate wont be their puppy dog in south asia.................... its not local if she becomes prime mininster than its the whole worlds problem she should just be exiled bakc to her palace in surrey

  5. The media's first inclination was to suggest pro-Taliban, or Al-Queda terrorists attempting to destroy an emblem of Pakistani democracy.

However considering the unhealthy propensity for labelling ANY act of terrorism a centrally controlled 'Al Queda Job' from the start, one can't be so sure.

In sharp contrast, another suggestion has been that other pro-Democracy, and originally Bhutto, supporters don't like (an under-statement) the fact that she has subdjucated, or given up the fight, on Musharraf and quite clearly could feel betrayed enough to make such a devastating attempt on her life.

Others, including I think Bhuttto herself, have suggested that enemies within the government may have attempted to kill her as they do not like her power-sharing presence, supported bt the fact that the street lights weren't working at the point at which the incident happened, and her arrival was made public days before, a serious security flaw that might just have been deliberate.

To me it seems that this is more local politics at work than a global conspiracy as I am not aware of any terrorist organisation accepting responsibility, although that may be because the plot ultimately failed to eliminate its target. Unfortunately it still remains a tragedy and highlights the barbarity of suicide bombing.

  6. They have already found links to international terrorism
