when people ask you "what you are", you tell them, then they say that you dont "look it"?

I think it's annoying, people always expect me to look like Kimora Lee Simmons. just wanted other opinions.

  1. nope its not that annoying, many bi racial people look nothing like what they from.

  2. I black, white, and spanish. I am never really offended. I get Spainish or even Indian, which is a joke and only hear from my friends.

I never really had anybody not believe me, but my older sister looks nothing like me, and she runs into all the time.

  3. Definetly.

I'm French, Irish, German, Italian, Spanish, and English.

But when people see me they're like, you're mexican huh? It's so annoying.

  4. I ignore them or say something sarky. I'm mixed european and people always think I'm lying. I look irish but i'm only part irish. I half german, a sixth english, a sixth irish and a sixth scottish but i'm also descended from the french and dutch. There is also a possibility I'm part russian or Eastern european which wouldn't surprise me as I apparently have an Eastern european look to myself.

  5. im half filipino and half caucasian, mixes like me never look the same

im not offended, usually theyre just making conversation, and whats wrong  with not looking like your race?? and its hard to tell what a person is when theyre mixed

  6. no i tell them i'm light not white.

  7. I am black and filipino and when people say "what are you?" I say American! I don't find it offensive because people are often curious of my ethnicity and mean no harm.

  8. I am half Filipino and half Irish and people think I'm Mexican or just full white...  It is irritating when they think I am a certain race and let me KNOW that, but oh well.  What are you gonna do?   That's what I do too, so I think humans in general just subconsciously say things like that.  X)))
