Bible as compare to Quran?

Quran

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

Verily, We Ourselves have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian, (Al-Hijr, 15:10)

This verse of the Holy Quran promises that its text has been safe-guarded in its original form by a divine plan for all times to come.

This verse furnishes a powerful proof of the truth of the Quran and of its divine origin. In fact, the promise about the preservation of the Quran made in this verse has been remarkably fulfilled that even if there had been no other proof of the truth of Islam, this alone would have sufficed to establish its divine origin.

Do you think that human can do that if he did any thing like that plz give me a example

Bible

The Bible is a huge collection of “human” writings, 38 ( 9 disputed) books comprising the Old Testament and 20 ( 7 disputed) books of the New Testament. The Old Testament assortment includes books of history, proverbs, myths, legislation …etc, representing the popular literature of the Israelites. They were composed by many scribes, several centuries after the Prophet Moses, peace be upon him.

Similarly, the New Testament embodies the Gospels, four different biographies of the Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, written by Matthews, Mark, Luke and John, whose identities are widely disputed. In addition, the New Testament contains the epistles of Paul, Peter and John. This is as well as the Acts - also due to Paul or Luke - and the Visions of

We can see huge difference between these two books

As far as prophets are concern, we can read the books 0f history that no prophet was easily accepted by his people.

`Same case with Moses’ same case with Jesus” and same case with Muhammad

As far as teachings of the Quran are concern, I am sure that no one here would ever try to understand Quran through a Islamic scholar.then how can you say that you understand all the things in it

How can you say that the Quran is false and the Bible is right?

  1. Do you not clearly see your bias in this?

  2. Both of them were written by the great liars of the religions.

  3. i challenge you that they are both wrong.

  4. Jazib: Why do you believe the Quran is exactly the same as it was 1400 years ago?

You do know that the people who put the Quran together burned all the writings/documents they used, don't you?  So we are just supposed to believe it was unchanged, since anything that would confirm it was unchanged was burned.

    Not gonna happen.

PS: We have numerous verses that God's word will never die, and his word is protected.

So that means one of our books is a lie.  And the dead sea scrolls are dated from before Mohammad, so I'm pretty sure you're the one who has been lied to by "An angel of light"

  5. I ask the same question to my christian friends. I am a convert.

I was a christian more than a year ago and it is no secret that it has been altered many times and is written my human beings while the Quran is the actual word of God. Reading the bible i wonder how much of is ideology and how much of is authentic. None the less, the Quran and Bible do have parallel princples and stories, however reading the Quran it seemed it answers so many more questions and everything made sense through a LOGICAL point of veiw. The book is so complete. I trust the word of God more than the word a man which God has created.

    Thank you for your post

  7. Likewise,  there is no preservation of original writings from Muhammad.  What was written were those who claimed his words and wrote those down.  Similar to the books of the original bible writers, those were recopied and passed down throughout a period of approx 1,600 years until its completion almost 2000 years ago.  That being said, in all respects the bible was recopied for over a period of 3,500 years.  Are we to assume the Quraan is absolutely perfect after 1,400 years but the bible message is not!  To actually see the Dead Sea Scrolls of Isaiah and compare them to our modern translations, and how well preserved its writings over 2,000 years ago agrees with what had been recorded down to our day, cannot be disputed.

It's a contradiction when you point out that the gospel writers identities are disputed also.  Then who is this historical figure Jesus whom your prophet says did exist and where did he learn of this.  Historians no doubt!   Muhammad is not the only historical figure who believed in the existence of the Jewish carpenter Jesus, we also have historical writers from the first  century onward who give credence of Jesus existence. Therefore, it is historical fact, not just from a Jewish but from gentile sources and shown by archeology that many of the bible books attest to its historicity.

Christians know and believe that Muhammad was a figure in history and are aware of his military dealings that are well attested to from historical sources.  Christians also believe that much of the Quraan are the words from Muhammad.

When both Muhammad and Christ are compared from a humanistic aspect we can see how vastly different they were in their characteristics.  Muhammad who claimed to be a prophet of peace but was in fact a proponent of war and slaughter, forced conversion or death, power hungry and wealthly.   In  comparison to Christ, who was not a military leader but a proponent of peace, who preached freedom of choice to his message, valued  human dignity and the right to life, raised as a humble carpenter who was content with his basic human needs.  His early followers recorded this one man Jesus the Christ and his teachings and  they lived up to his message.. Their actions speak much louder than words.

The entire Bible canon of 66 books cannot be questioned as not being inspired of God and preserved any more than you can say that yours alone are the true preserved words from Muhammad.

    Non denominational Christian..

  8. Easy, they're both wrong.

    Bible Compared to Quran

Based on transcripts of vairous lectures given by Yusuf Estes & Dr. Gary Miller

    Final comment from Yusuf Estes:

I would like to state that after years of studying the Bible and then learning the Arabic language to read the Quran as it was originally recited to Muhammad, peace be upon him, by the angel Gabriel, I have come to an amazing conclusion. It seems to me that the Bible and the Quran are most definitely from the exact same source and they compliment each other very nicely. In fact, it appears that the Bible does not contradict the Quran, except in the very same places where the Bible contradicts itself.
