  1. How about 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth'.  That ought to spell fear in the eyes of a groom who considers whether he should have an affair later on. ;)

  2. We are using 1 Corinthians 13- often called the love chapter. It is used at a lot of wedding ceremonies. You might also read Ephesians 5:22-33. That passage talks about how a man should love his wife as Christ loved the church. Verse 31 talks about how a man should leave his mother and become one with his wife.

You could also get a Bible concordance and look up verses having to do with love and marriage.  I'm sure you will be able to find something appropriate.

  3. if it was me i would choose Song Of Solomon                    chapter 8:6-7. if you have a bible look it up.

  4. I don't know that many versus on marriage, however, I do reccommend Ezekiel 16

  5. There is alot of marraige vereses in Pslams and Proverbs, good luck. and you should read the bible.

  6. The Corinthians one about "Love is patient, love is kind..." is a very popular wedding verse.

  8. Ephesians - Chapter 4:2

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

  9. Tobit, where Sarah is told to look at her in-laws as just as much her parents as those who raised her.

  10. Well you can go with Jeremiah 29:11 but that to me seems more for an individual than a couple because it talks about the plans God has for you.

Most popular would be 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 which is referred to as the love passage.

I like Ephesians 5:33 which says "Neverthelss let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband."

    Hope this helps and congrats!

  11. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7  this is my favorite and it is the verse that we are using in our wedding...
