  1. Dogs will not be happy being spayed or neutered. It will pass with time; depending on your dog's normal behavior, it will probably be depressed, uncomfortable, behave poorly, or be angry for a time.

If you're concerned, contact your vet.

  2. I would call your vet and describe her behavior.  She may need some pain meds.  I think it is a little strange that she hasn't had a poo yet, but I'm not a vet.  Call to be safe.

  3. Yes, she has had what is quite major abdo.surgery so she's going to take time to recover.  I'd suggest some poached white fish, or chicken, or even some lightly scrambled egg (just a little in each case) to tempt her appetite to pick up.  Tinned Chappie usually gets them going.  However, I think it might be a good idea, if this goes on (isn't it typical, a Bank Holiday = extra vet charges!) to just check back with your vet because she should be picking up by now I'd think.  Mine have usually started to eat within 24/36 hours of surgery.  Do you have the means to check her temperature?  Just in case she has an infection starting up.  Is she shivering at all?   But as I've said many times before, diagnosis on here is not the best idea.  So if you are still concerned later on this morning, I think I'd give your vet a call, if only to reassure yourself that all's well.

  4. She's just had major surgery so she's going to be uncomfortable.  Call your vet and ask them for advice.

I think it's funny how they blocked *****.
