Any well maintained bike can take you that far, but I think you mean road bikes. Road bikes have drop handlebars, skinny tires and are the kinds of bikes you see in the Tour De France, the bike race Lance Armstrong was famous for winning.

There is also a class of road bikes called touring bikes that usually have drop handlebars, but they can also have flat handlebars as well.
