I am trying to find a good biking route from lancaster to California city...but it seems that in order to get to california city from lancaster that there is no choice but to go on highway 14 for 9 miles. I know some freeways allow bicycles when there is not another option to get through...I was wondering if bicycles would be allowed on this part.

  1. you dont have to ride your bike on the highway

Kern regional transit has transit service from Lancaster

to Mojave where you can change to the

Mojave -ridgecrest route which has a stop in California city

and their buses do have bike racks on them as well
