Bid For Gold solid contender for winning Beadle & Hill Handicap (Pro-Am Lady Riders´ Race)
Bid For Gold is likely to prevail in the Beadle & Hill Handicap (Pro-Am Lady Riders´ Race) at Carlisle in England on Monday, August 6, 2012. The triumphant horse will be awarded a cash prize of £3,881 in the end.
The going will be good to soft in the 5 furlong 193 yard race, which will start at 19:05 GMT. A total of 12 runners have been attracted towards the class-5 event and the competition will definitely be a close one.
There are a few very good runners, who will be fighting for victory in the race and one of them will be Bid For Gold, who has been performing really well in recent times. He has got plenty of experience, thus the bookmakers have shown faith in his abilities,
giving him a starting price of 5 to 1.
On the other hand, the punters will also be interested in placing more bets in favour of the seasoned runner, as there is a chance for them to earn some easy money at the end of the day.
The eight-year-old gelding made his first appearance in June 2006 and was unable to catch the attention of anyone. He finished in a disappointing eight place, but managed to improve his performances over the next few events.
The Jedd O'Keeffe’s trainee had to wait until May 2007 for his first victory. He was rated as the favourite to win back then and lived up to the expectations of the bookies. He managed to win one more race that year and earned a lot of confidence because
of that.
Despite doing a decent job in 2007, he struggled for form next year and gave some terrible performances. He lacked the speed to match his rivals and his fans were left dejected on most of the occasions.
However, Bid For Gold still managed to win a couple of events that year and the same happened in 2009. The next year proved to be a tough one for him and since then he has been participating in selective races.
Last year, Auction House’s son participated in just one race and finished on top in it. He has not tasted victory in the ongoing season, but has got a solid chance of doing so today under Miss Emma Bedford.
