I listed an item to sell, it already been like 4 days, and no one has bid on my item. I'm new to ebay. So i guess my question is is there a certain time when people start bidding on an item like around 2 days of auction ending or something?Oh and there was one bid, but it was my friend who thought she was bidding on something else, but she was on the wrong page.

  1. Yep, generally someone will put in a "reserve" bid (in case nobody else bids it assures them the won. It's usually the minimum). People usually start bidding within the last five minutes of the auction if they are going to, so you have quite a while to wait.

  2. generally people only start biddin in the last 10 mins of the auction so they have more of a chance of winning the item for the least amount of money

  3. people dont tend to bid on something until the last few hours. even the last seconds.

    Good luck

  4. some people like to wait until the final hour so they can pick it up cheap and without getting into a bidding war

  5. Do you have any watchers?  Most bids happen within the last 24 hrs of the auction.  People don't like to bid early, becuase it makes the price go up quicker

  6. people usually wait until theres only a few minutes left to start bidding so the price doesnt have time to go up much and so they have a better chance at winning the item. if theres 2 days left, theres too much time for them to lose the item and for the price to go up faster.

  7. I buy and sell on Ebay and I can tell you that most people these days put items on their watch list and wait till the very last minute to bid. Who wants to bid and then have to bid again raising their own price. Don't worry...you will see a lot of action at the end of the auction!

    XXXXX

  8. People bid on what they want, at any time. It's possible some will wait til the last day to bid on your item, or, they may not bid at all if the item is not popular. You may have a perfectly wonderful and valuable item, but if it's not collectible or something "hot", then chances are the members won't search for it.

  9. well, someone just bidded on it! lol, most ebay auctions go up in the last day a considerable amount if the item is good qualtiy. Dont be worried! most ebay items will be very low untill the last few hours!

  10. A lot of times people will wait til the very last day or 2 to bid. The more bids an item has the higher chances people have of paying more so they wont bid til the last minute. I do it too. I will wait til right before an auction ends to bid.

  11. I checked out the link... $15.50 for S/H!  I'm not bidding either!

  12. In my experience, a lot of times people will wait until the last minutes or even seconds to bid on an item so the price doesn't have time to get too high.
