  1. Hi! I have to agree with 'C' - I'm married to an American soldier, but I'm German. I have to admit, it was always really hard for me to live in Military Housing. However, here's a link to Bielefeld for you so you can check it out:

As for your age, don't worry so much. There'll be lots of younger women.

  2. Oh goodness. Bielefeld has a reputation in Germany as a dead-end town. In fact, its name is a bit of a joke - we like to pretend the place doesn't exist and is just a funny name.

On a more serious note, though, I've been there and it's an ok town. It's a decent size, not too provincial, and it's quite centrally located if you look at all of Germany. So if you want to do a bit of exploring while you're there (which you definitely should), you'll be situated in a good spot.

  3. You will love it! germany is so good the easy life the late drinking and everything is tax free.

I was in the army myself and served in germany for 3 years, I had my son in a german hospital,

Watch out for the army wives though, they can be a bit funny as in they seem to think they have their husbands rank (pathetic) I stayed away from them, You will have to mingle though but just find some decent lasses not the "wives club loosers",

I was 18 when I first went out there, good luck I wish I was going back xx

  4. I'm a army wife too. I was one time for a week in Bielefeld. Is nice town. I guess better than where I live right now. Is a city and you can do and see many things there and near to another big cities also.
