and doubted the referee’s integrity.
The 57-year-old went one step further and apologized to the referee, Alejandro Hernandez. He said that there is no justification for the manner he protested.
“There is no reason to protest as I did. I want to apologise to the referee and his assistants.”

“I claimed that there was a handball and that is not in the regulations.”

Bielsa stated that he came to know of the gesture made by Michel and thinks that was it was an act of graciousness.
“I have seen the gesture made by Michel. It was an act of chivalry, and I want to thank him for that.”
Moreover, Michel is displeased with the performance of his team and as a result of that has criticised his players.
“My team has issues that have to do with morals and respect for the shirt. No matter what we do, if it is not done with interest, then it is bound to fail.”
The 49-year-old has refrained from commenting more on his team's disappointing performance of the night so that he does not get angry. He believes his players were not organized and did not keep their focus on the game.
“I hesitate to describe our performance in case I get angry. In the first half we didn't concentrate, were disorderly and lost possession.”
Athletic Bilbao are slowly getting back to form in La Liga. Their back to back wins in the league will surely boost their much needed morale and confidence.
