The German national team general manager wants his side to start the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on a winning note against Faroe Islands.

“The Faroes are certainly not going to be our toughest test, but they are good opponents for us to start our qualifying campaign against. Everybody is expecting that we will win our group and that is our aim too,” Bierhoff was
quoted as saying in an interview.

in the future.
“There was something lacking in recent years to win the title and we have got to take what we have learnt from that into the next two years,” the general manager concluded.
Germany will play their second World Cup qualifier against Austria in Vienna on September 11. The team will be aiming for perfect qualification this time also.
