How can the AFL dump the drug scandal on an individual, when they refused to acknowledge earlier in the year that there are drug takers within the AFL.

  1. Big Andy won't be taking the blame for not providing drug testing. He wouldn't know a great deal about it, because when he played for the Kangaroos, the worst thing that a player could do, would be to forget to pack your boots on match day.

  2. Simple..If you get caught on the gear, you should be dumped, if not for good then at least a year. Hopefully that would be a wakeup call for all players.

Andy Pandy & Co are like a dog with two tails, they can't make up their mind which way to go( how many in the AFL hierachy are users/abusers? HMMMM.

As for Cousins being charged with bringing the game into disrepute, the AFL did nothing about it the first couple of times, then they had him sacked, he goes on a bender & only NOW are they going bear their teeth & do something. He is no longer a player, what are they going to do sack him again. Its a knee jerk reaction to media scrutiny.

Why was the Magpie player not charged with the same after being in a car, with a bloke popping shots off at the cops in broady.

Why was the young Cat player not charged with same after going off his chops & brawling in the middle of Geelong on Grand Final eve? & he went back for more AFTER the polic had driven him home.

The list goes on & on & on!

The AFL are like NATO, spineless toothless tigers, without consistency

  3. let us put Ben cousins to rest , he has self destructed himself in the last 3 weeks, the fool has no hope of freeing himself of drugs,he has the thinking of ,"i can do no wrong" while he has that thinking there is no hope for him. god bless his mum & dad ,that bloke has them hidding under a 5 cent coin

  4. I'm a WCE supporter & I agree with what is being said in relation to others in the AFL being involved with drugs.

But Ben Cousins is not doing himself, his family, his friends, his club or the AFL any good with his behaviour.

When he was pulled up by police, & subsequently arrested recently, he, & others, had been invoved with & had been associating with known criminal bikie members for the previous two days.

He deserves to be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

  5. I have always been a Ben Cousins fan but it is about time he stepped back and accepted some responsibility for his predicament after all at the end of the day it his life he is playing with.

  6. No one takes drugs in the AFL, remember? It is only one or two people, right? In fact there are only a handful of people in AUstralia who take drugs and they are all in the slum areas of town.

Do you think this attitude will take or do people actually have their eyes open?

  7. Bid Andy must know when you give young boys money and a popstar following that some will make bad mistakes. If Big Andy thinks its an individual problem he is dreaming. This is just high profile because its such a big name and its great for him to make an example out of him. Big Andy though is not so big as he makes out. He will give Cousins a lesser ban as the AFLPA will kick his butt if its too harsh.
