Okay, so today my mom came home with some grocerys and she ran as fast as she could to the front door because like we usually come in the back door but there was a huge fat animal there. And she came in and told us about it and like i went to the back door and looked out the window and saw part of it and stuff but it was crawling under our car [ we dont have a gragage ] so like im like thats a cat... shes like it doesnt look like a cat. So im looking at the window every second and im suppose to go to my friends house tomorrow since she lives like 2 blocks away and i walk there and stuff. But i'm scared to go cause if that ugly animal gets me i will be dead. What do i do?!?!?!?

ALSO, WHAT DO I DO WITH THE ANIMAL??? REPORT IT OR SOMETHING???

  1. Unless you really believe that there is a bear or some crazy wild animal running around that is out to kill people I would say don't was the time of any animal control group.  If it ran under the car it is surely 2000% more afraid of you then you are of it.

Dogs don't go under cars, and neither do bears, unless they are certified mechanics.  I would say you have a fat cat or possum running around.

If it wanted to do any harm it would have jumped on your mom.  Relax.  It is just one of the earth's critters that got trapped in your neighborhood when they tore all the trees down.  Actually you should put out some food for it :).

  2. Go to your friends house...you're not going to die. It's probably gone by now if anything.

I don't think a bear can fit under a car...you should be fine. It was probably a cat or a raccoon or some giant rodent.

    Or Godzilla's baby.

  3. keep it as a pet

  4. if it was a bear (which i highly doubt it was) you shouldve shot it. Im sure it was probably a dog or raccoon.

  5. Animal control should do. Must have taken you a while to answer this if you're staring out the window...

What wildlife is prevalent in your area? If you live in L.A., it could be an out of work actor looking for a job. Hm.

  6. It looks like a cat but not like a cat: its probably a raccoon, they somewhat resemble cats, but not exactly.  They also look a little bear-like, but a bear won't fit under the car. If it were a cat, your mom wouldn't have been scared, unless she's scared of cats; but she's not.

I don't think it was an opossum because they don't come out when somebody has already been to the grocery store.  They come out at night, and sometimes stay out a little past dawn.

Raccoons eat garbage among other things; they will bite if they think they have to, but generally they will run away (or walk away!) instead.  It's not a good idea for a dog to chase a raccoon, it might get hurt.  But they are not what I would call a dangerous animal, and they live in many cities.

  7. Call the local ASPCA to inform them that there is an animal near by, so they can be on the look out in case someone else See's it, but unless it's still under the car, there is really nothing they can do. You should be fine walking to your friends house, but if you feel uncomfortable, ask them to pick you up, ride a bike, of ask your parents to drive you. Hope it helps!

  8. It is NOT a bear, darlin'.  I have bears around my home and they couldn't fit under the car if they wanted to.

Make sure your mom knows NOT to keep trashcans full of trash OUT in the open until it's time to put it out for the trash man.  That  is what probably attracted this animal, which was most likely a big dog.

  9. i would say keep trash away from outside while you call animal control and before driving let a mechanic look under to make sure no leaks from claws and if you do go out make lots of noise to scare it away

  10. I also think it was probably a raccoon.  The largest recorded raccoon weighed over 28.4 kg (62.6 lb)  I would say you are safe.  Unless the Racoon starts acting strange and approaching you, which could mean that it's rabid....If you're very concerned contact animal control.

  11. Like, I would like offer it like a peanut butter sandwich like it could be your pet, you know?  Like, totally.

  12. Even cubs do not fit under the car or look like cats.  If you live near wildlands there are many critters about the size of cats.  Raccoons, skunk, fox, possums.  Where do you live? also consider dogs and cats.  There are dogs that look bearlike and do fit under cars and they are more likely to be hanging around humans..

  13. maybe it was Cloverfield!

  14. Unless your mom drives a huge lifted F-450 I don't think a bear would fit under her car. Maybe a possum or raccoon? If you're really worried, you can call animal control, but if the animal isn't acting unusual (like it's rabid, for instance) they may not do anything at all.
